A Short Update on My Life: Longer one Elsewhere.

I'm in love~

NOT

Merely very bored.
And I needed to post.
But then, school is rather...
Strange.
=]
Sadful...?
=[
Heh.
Who's got a date for homecoming?
::pokes::
Who's going?
::hopes::
::Smashes Chris' head with a sledge hammer::
T.T
People seem to think I need to be set up with a guy.
>.<
But...
As long as I know him,
He's not ugly (cute would be nice),
He has a fully functioning brain,
And a fulfills my requirements,
I'll be happy.

HALLOWEEN [Edited by Bonneh]

Bonnie and I have been plotting.
Evil, evil plans.

Okay, so:
We wanna do a Halloween thing for Odle!
It'll be themed and all. Funnnnn. I know rightttt? Mmhm.
THIS YEAR, HALLOWEEN IS ON A FRIDAY.
Plans not disclosed here. Or else it wouldn't be a surprise
Rawr and if anyone tells *coughAMANDERS!* people at Odle, they'll be chopped to bits.

After we scare the teachers and steal their candy,
We can all go trickortreating! together.
I'm not quite sure where, but details will be later.
Please RESPOND if you want part in this =D
It will be WONDERFUL.

*Edit
Since Halloween's on a Friday, it would be really fantabulous if you guys could be available for Trick or Treating, like in the afternoon, maybe at 4 or 5? Until sometime in the night. So yeah! Don't be afraid to wear makeup, dress funneh (maybe as the opposite gender...), and ask people for MONEY! (I want to do the Unicef thing with the boxes and stuff again.)

Okay and also, after we get everyone who wants a part in this, we should take a vote on the theme, is that okay, Anita dahhhlin? You and me can decide the choices on which to vote on though. And then we can very detailed-ly plan out what we do and how to do it and blahblahblah.

roar.

u guys didnt show up.
>=[
i was very mad.

....
*eats*

soundoff! (idk which one i'm srry x.x)

Two Soundoffs in One Month?

Name: Michael
Grade: FreshMAN
Grades: They better be all A's otherwise I'm pathetic (I know some of you are gonna deny that with the Doctor Faustus quiz in English but I got 25/26 on that so it is an A)
Location: Guess (not the store, I'm telling you to guess where I am)

How are the kids?
Well... Michael is loving high school (his exact words were, "High school is the shiz!"). He's actually kind of enjoying his floral design class, or at least when they get to make flower arrangments he says. And I, as his very supportive father, will support him in everything he does.

Favorite Subject: Pretty much all of them right now, it has only been a week.

Most Hated Teacher: Little early to be hatin'

What do you think of the school: It's a pretty cool place, I get the feeling it's gonna stay pretty clean for the whole year. I'm probably wrong I know, but I just have this feeling.

Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?
Because fake grass doesn't have to be cut or watered? I have no idea, when I read the question I was like, "It's fake?"

Have you been procrastinating?
Actually no. I'm trying to change my procrastination habits this year, we'll see how I do.

Favorite Song: Green Light (featuring Andre 3000) by John Legend

Going to Homecoming?
Most likely, but I need a new pair of dress pants.

New Thing!
We're gonna go visit Odle on Wednesday! Who's we? We's anyone who wants to come (maybe even YOU). Details are on my Facebook. If you don't have a facebook or you can't find it, I'll put the info here too. So we're pretty much just gonna go to Odle right after school gets out. We're all gonna meet outside the main entrance to Interlake on Wednesday after school gets out and take the bus (route 230 towards Bellevue transit center) together. Of course, you can get there your own way if you want. People who don't go to Interlake and/or don't have a bus pass will have to find some other way to get there. I was kind of reluctant to post this here because I know some people who go to Odle will read this and tell everyone, so if you are, please keep this a secret so it can be a surprise.

My son Michael has the coolest dad, and he's pretty cool too.

School Soundoff

Name: Helen

Grade: Freshman babyyyyyyy!

Grades: Its been a week.

Location: Next to comp

How are the kids?: Well me and Ben had to give them up cause we didn't love them anymore. but they had cool names

Favorite Subject: Calculus. chem? world history?

Most hated teacher: MR PETERSON
GOSH WHAT A JACKASS
and ms boness is a close second

What do you think of the school: beautiful =D so crowded though. and we dont even have that many people.

Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?: we have a baseball diamond?

Have you been procrastinating?: actually not at all. cause i have nothing to do besides hw xD

What is your favorite song right now?: I love your girl- The Dream
amazing songgggggggg

Are you going to Homecoming?: yessssssssss =D i already have a dress
now just have to find a date xP but we still have like a month, so w.e.

-insert something more creative than 'blahblah soundoff'-

Both Sept and School soundoffs x]]

Name? Larry x]]]

Location? on the most uncomfortable black chair in which the backrest and the cushion is at a FREAKIN ACUTE ANGLE and makes my back + butt + hips + you get the point feel weird. -o-"

...Why is the sky blue?

because back in the day the freshmen around the world had this international conference and they voted on different colors and blue won so they painted it blue but some people complained that blue gave them a headache and black was better so they painted the other half of the sky black but then the overly-optimistic people were like ew black = emo so then they added stars and the moon and and then they decided blue looked dull because you couldn't tell if you were actually moving or anything so they added the clouds and then they realized they were neglecting the secondary colors and red so they added sunrises and sunsets and in the secondary colors and the sun in red and all was happy =]

What's your GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT this summer?

i finished the first two seasons of SEINFELD. it is HILARIOUS!! x]]

"what's a little concrete in the washing machine?"

And heyyyy by the way,HOW ARE THE KIDS??

well by before school started they were practicing to become ventriloquist and complained until they were given puppets to use for practice. the little one is obsessed with the penguin one and is doing it perfectly. the older one loves the teddy bear puppet, but has hard pronouncing the m's and b's. he also accidentally spilled yogurt on the bear. a few hours of chaotic crying.

School soundoff:
Name: Larry. the IHS teachers are coming around to calling me that already.

Grade: Freshman. ben black thinks we're sevvies for life. -o-"

Grades: you know i hardly think a week can kill your grade.

Location: still on that dumb black chair.

How are the kids?: the older got a detention for questioning their math teacher about whether standing for hours on the picket lines was worth the wage increase they received. the younger is really glad to be able to see friends again, but is overwhelmed by the homework (first week of middle school, 6th grade)

Favorite Subject: Chemistry or math. Mr. Mercer is so hilarious. He Talks Like This With An AcCent On EveRy SylLaBle It Is PretTy FunNy. x] he has a fork on the ceiling and graduated cylinders ranging from 5mL to 4 liters. Mr. Millhollen is like the complete opposite of mrs. kol. He doesn't enforce homework much, and he can't live without his smartboard. Unlike Mrs. Kol with her wild hair, mr. millhollen is either bald or has a buzz. he's tall, mrs. kol is short. he tries to save paper. =]

Most hated teacher: I hate mrs. boness. She has the extremely retarded chant for the beginning of class every day *points at blog, too lazy to type the dumb thing again*. and also, she sucks at explaining. and she has a studnet teacher, and asks her to do everything. she even asked andrew nelson to explain something she couldn't fully put in clear terms.

OH AND MRS. KATSMAN. CAUTION: THIS'LL ALL BE IN CAPS AND BOLD. SHE THINKS SHE IS SO GOOD AT HER INSTRUMENT WE HAVE TO CALL HER DOCTOR KATSMAN. MOREOVER SHE TAKES THIRTY MINUTES TO TUNE OUR INSTRUMENTS. SHE IS COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE, CLUMSY, AND UNORGANIZED. [details on my blog, already ranted about her there lololol] SHE PRETTY MUCH SUCKS. I WANT TO QUIT ORCHESTRA. SHE IS HORRIBLE. UNLESS SHE GETS FIRED I THINK IMA QUIT ORCHESTRA NEXT YEAR. I DONT THINK SHE DESERVED THE BSD RAISE../endrant

^^;;

What do you think of the school: I hate the stairs. There's easily 100 students on the two flights of stairs close the most easily accessible. I don't like having to go upstairs for PE, even though it's a separate flight of stairs. the locker rooms suck, the bathroom in the lockers suck, there are over 200 guys in the locker during my period. most of the other stuff is pretty cool. you can eat outdoors x] the lockers are really clean.

Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?: fake grass is plastic or some synthetic smooth material right? so there's less friction on the feet, if it rained the previous day to a home game, they'll know that it's slippery and not slip while the away team will be like *WHOOPS* and slip.

Have you been procrastinating?: nope not really. slept before 11 so far every day. mainly because i have to wake up at 5:45 am. -o-"

What is your favorite song right now?: um that's a hard one. It's like a tie between four or five songs:
-Photograph - Nickelback: the lyrics are pretty good, i like the chorus melody
-I Don't Wann [[sic]] Be In Love [Dance Floor Anthem] - Good Charlotte: Even though the lyrics are definitely what not my opinions are, they make a lot of sense and frankly, they describe life's most painful moments [losing someone you love] pretty well. The melody is amazing. If i had to choose a single song with a gun pointed at my head, id say this song.
-First Time - Lifehouse: The lyrics and melody is great, though the voice sounds a bit raspy.
-It's Gonna Be Me - *NSYNC: Well they pronounce 'me' and a few other words with a ee-ending sound like 'ay' but it's a good song.

Are you going to Homecoming?: i want to, and i think i can. For sure not homecoming game though, because i have a math competition on that day [SIGMA or something]. at any rate, one of the priorities i have for homecoming is seeing eric in a tux. yep, i hope ill be there, hopefully with amanders x]

oh and also, i need to see who michael lee asks, if he goes. *so freakin curious*
and alex guo too. during lunch, we were trying to make michael and alex say who they'd ask if they were going for sure but they wouldn't tell us D8

School Soundoff

Name: Eric

Grade: Freshman

Grades: Kinda early to tell I guess. To quote my Spanish Teacher: "You all have A's... for now"

Location: At my desk nodding off to sleep

How are the kids?: Very good, they want to be more independent and move on to riding the metro, and then realize they would have to make three transfers to reach home, or hike the last two miles with their heavy backpacks. *sigh* sometimes i worry about them
Favorite Subject: Chemistry. Mr. Mercer is amazing, and I swear he, mr. black, and mr. duke get together sometimes

Most hated teacher: Ms. Katsman. She's our ochestra teacher, and after having Ms. Shaw, this teacher is almost like (wait no... EXACTLY WHAT IS) the ultimate letdown. She also reminds of Dory, from Finding Nemo.

What do you think of the school: Love it! It's so awesome to be able to say "Oh, i feel like going a different way today!" and make a wrong turn and end up in the janitor's office! Or discovering you just somehow ended up outside.

Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?: To make athlete's lives miserable and increase their chance of injury! Why would there be any other reason.

Have you been procrastinating?: Nah. Maybe on posting here tho... O=]

What is your favorite song right now?: It's a traditional chinese song that i forgot the name to. But it's a very symbolic song about how life goes on and we all need to remember that, and never forget our buddies and family. Oh yea, and the singer is a girl that can go up to like 20000th position (are there "positions" in singing like there is in stringed instruments?) so it sounds eerie! x]

Are you going to Homecoming?: Well, i've been trying to decide that. Pros: Probably be awesomelly fun. Cons: I would probably end up in tux. NOT fun.

School Soundoff

Haha yeah, I'm gonna stop being a lazy bastard and post.

Name: Mitch (or w/e variation of my name you want. Except Mike, eww what a disgusting name)

Grade: Freshman. lol I get a lotta crap for that. W/e it's only one year.

Grades: Decentish as of now?

Location: Home right now.

How are the kids?: Good, they've never loved school more. They get up and are excited to be going to school.

Favorite Subject: Chemistry, Mr. Mercer is so funny. His class is the best. Pre-Calc is pretty fun too.

Most hated teacher: Ms. B (guess what B stands for). She's kinda annoying and gives me the feeling that she's kinda senile.

What do you think of the school: The campus is amazing, and it's a really nice building, only complaint is stairs and office are always FULL of people so it takes forever to get where you want or you have to wait in big lines just to ask a question in the office.

Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?: Uh... it depends, some (most) actually have real grass.

Have you been procrastinating?: For once, nope. I'm trying to not procrastinate at all this year, tough goal neh?

What is your favorite song right now?: "Starlight" by Muse. It's got great lyrics, a great piano part, and the drums are kinda interesting. Fun to play along with, really meaningful song.

Are you going to Homecoming?: Most likely. I still need to get some clothes to wear to homecoming, and I still have to ask someone. I have no clue who I'm gonna ask. W/e, it can wait. (dang, thats procrastination =\ so much for that goal.)

My Birthday

Due to a crapload of peer pressure and ruthless badgering and nagging *cough* Pei and Bonnie *cough*, I'm gonna start posting more. I'll be holding off on the September and School sound-off for a while because of uh... I'm busy? (more like I don't know what I'm supposed to write for the soundoffs, but cut me some slack, it's my birthday).
But yeah, I'll get around to those eventually. Today's post is something special. It's my birthday, and generally I guess you guys are supposed to wish me a happy birthday and say a bunch of nice stuff, but in this post, I'm gonna turn it around. I am truly blessed and thankful to have such a great group of friends. No matter how little I've said to you (sorry about that) or how often I get mad at you, I want you to know that no matter what, you guys will forever be my friends. You guys have made me what I am and I know it sounds really cheesy, but I really mean it from the bottom of my heart, thanks. We might not get along all the time, or we may not have gotten to talk much recently, but know that I hold absolutely no hard feelings towards any of you. I may act a little careless sometimes, but I care about every one of you. So thanks, and knowing I may never see some of you again (or not very often), good luck in your life. Keep in touch.

-Mitch

I'm a good widdle mousie

This is Venecia, via Anita

1) I'm a GOOD widdle mousie. I AM. That's my favorite song, but Anita said it wasn't catchy enough, so I changed it to I'm an angelic widdle mousie. =D
2) Newport is big, and Mr. Brown [the AP Environmental science teacher] was making diagrams of brains! And he was like, "This is Newport's brain..." *draws huge circle on board* "And this is Interlake's brain!" *draws tiny circle* so HA. Oh and our AP Environmental Science class is the APES [get it? AP Environmental Science] And we have our ownnnn website.
3) We have so many evil plans for Mr. Black....I think we should take the bus to Odle on Halloween Friday in costumes and trick-or-treat at Mr. Black's classroom. And Mrs. Benzinger's. And Ms. Kol's. And we could be Teletubbies! I want to be Lala though.
Or we could go earlier on a Wednesday and warn Mr. Black that we'd be coming for candy. And we need to draw on their whiteboards. AND now Ms. Kol can't give us detention! Mwahaha...
4) I'm too lazy to post, kinda. Well, actually not, but I don't have access to the computer...because I haven't been assigned a typing assignment yet! So I can't go on the computer. So maybe I'll post myself in October...or November...

Extra stuff by Anita:
Venny is in Port Something-or-Other, all the way in OREGON and staying overnight for an invitational XC meet =DDD Pro, is she not?

Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han
Shang, Zhou, Qin, Han
Sui, Tang, Song
Sui Tang, Song
Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republic
Yuan, Ming, Qing, Republic
Mao Ze Dong.
Mao Ze Dong.

Is brilliant, is it not?
It's the CHINESE DYNASTY SONG =D
Skips the little unnecessary dynasties, but helps people remember the big ones.
Is useful. And catchy. To the tune of Frere Jacques =]
Anita learned it today and had it stuck in her head forevarrr.

And the other questions...

I don't think anyone realized it, but I was actually asking a real question with, "Why does the baseball field have fake grass?" x.X And seriously, it does. I should know because my class is doing the softball unit at the moment and we've been practicing on the baseball field. It's like, plastic grass that's "growing" from tiny rubber piece that get stuck between your shoe and sock when playing so that when you take off your shoes to change and later put them back on, it all falls down and you have very lumpy feeling shoes. T.T

Have I been procrastinating? Nah. I finished my Monday's math homework n Thursday. (It's really stupid, really. We actually work in table groups to do each investigation and... yeah. T.T)

Favorite Song: DISTURBIA! Bum bum bi bum, bi bum bum bi bum, bum... or something like that.

Am I going to homecoming? No. I'm not going to even ask my parents. Unless someone asks me first... then I might consider otherwise.

School "Soundoff" and Katie's questions

Name: According to my new friend Anusha, I am Bani.
Grade: Freshie. Obviously. If the height and the cluelessness are any indication.
Grades: It really doesn't matter as of this moment...later I will be obssessed with them though.
Location: An Explosion of Awesome!
How are the kids?: So tired. But happy. Because they saw people they knew from sixth grade at school. And the sophomores and juniors were nice to them.
Favorite subject (and why): It's still kinda early to tell...but right now I am enjoying Computer Science, English (just because I liked LA...) History, Chemistry, and PE. So like...everything. That opinion is likely to change later.
Most hated teacher (at the moment): I'll just say Mrs. Boness because she's a little...well she's not as cool as Mr. or Mrs. B, let's put it that way.
What do you think of the school: I got lost in it. I don't know where the stairs are. I don't know where the fountains are. And I hate how the stairs are always so crowded during passing periods. It makes you claustrophobic.
Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?: Because the people who do that stuff are too lazy to water the grass or too poor to install a sprinkler system.
Have you been procrastinating?: Actually not really. Not on purpose. I get home late though usually.
What is your favorite song right now?: Man that's difficult...I'll say All-American Girl (Carrie Underwood), Fighter (Christina Aguilera), Invisible (Clay Aiken), Mockingbird (Eminem), A Place in this World (Taylor Swift), Almost Lover (A Fine Frenzy),.......
okay you know what there's too many. I'm just going through my playlist, and gosh. No. I refuse to name a particular song. Because I love so many <333
Are you going to HOMECOMING??: I actually...don't know. And that's all I will say for now.

Creative Writing

So, Bonnie wanted me to post up some story things.
How was I to say no?
Anyways, if you don't like it, blame it on Bonnie.
She brought it upon you.
Here's some background...
In English Block, we get 15 minutes where we MUST keep writing nonstop in our little journal thingies.
And thus, I wrote a 'happy' little story.
Before you read though, I have to apologize in advance to Lizzy.
(Or I might get shredded.)

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away...
There was an adorable, white fluffy bunny. One day, when he was nibbling on the Royal Cabbages of the Royal Garden of the Royal Palace, the youngest daughter of the king and queen spotted and captured him. Princess Penelope simply adored the fluffy white bunny, whom she named Jenny. Penelope took very good care of Jenny, catering to his every need. Jenny became a very rotund bunny from all the rich food he was fed.
Once a year, there was a grand, Royal Hunting Party where the King would lead a select group of hunters into the Royal Woods and bring back animals for a feast. Many peasants and commoners would also join in the festivities, bringing in offerings for the Royal Family. Princess Penelope loved this event, because she could show off all her toys and pretty things to the children of the hunters. In fact, Penelope was so excited that she left Jenny's cage open after putting him away.
After the hunting party, when Princess Penelope came back to feed her dear fluffy bunny Jenny, she was horrified to see him gone. Bursting into tears, Princess Penelope went, heartbroken, to the Royal Hunting Party Feast.
The food was amazing! Penelope particlarly liked the main dish, which was a strange sort of meat that was slightly like chicken yet not. Uplifted and pleasantly full, Princess Penelope went to the Head Royal Cook to ask what had been in the food.
"Well," the Royal Cook replied, smiling, "at your table, the main dish was freshly caught rabbit."

~Finis.

High school soundoff thingy

Name: Dennis the menace, well not so much
Grade: five. BILLION =D
grades: I have no idea but I hope they are A's or else I wont see you tomorrow
Location: text book
How are the kids? happy, well sort of. I like high school, but other people don't seem to like it and that's just depressing.
Fav subject? CHEM! haha Mr. Mercer has a fork in the ceiling
Most hated teacher? ummm... Mr. Wang, because he is ridiculous
What do you think of the school? Nice, its small, which is good. Easy to navigate, the people are a lot nicer than I thought. All the freshmen died. The new kids are anti-social.
Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass? we have a base ball diamond?!?

Why is everyone so depressing at school? its not that bad, seriously.
Name: Katizzleee
Grade: I put the fresh in freshman :D
Grades: A!
Location: On a guilt trip
How are the kids?: Tired from running+situps+pushups in PE
Favorite subject (and why): CHEMISTRY BECAUSE OF THE AWESOMENESS OF MR. MERCER xDDD
Most hated teacher (at the moment): Mrs. Boness-the English teacher. She's so...I duno. I just don't like her >.>
What do you think of the school: it's nice. slightly boring, but nice.
Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?: because they have to keep the grass prettyyy and so they don't want to use the real kind =P

and I will add some questions:
Have you been procrastinating?
What is your favorite song right now?
Are you going to HOMECOMING??

Officer Bob

Ever had someone say, "That was the best birthday present you could've given me?"
~ - ~ - ~
S' a 'warm fuzzy' inside.
~-~-~
Touchdown.
I hit man-on, barring him back with my forearm then punching him to the side as I rip past him. Then I'm screaming....xD
"C'mon... GO GO GO...!" Right behind an MI linebacker who's running after... Salinger. Billy. And he runs faster, harder, just a few more yards...10...5...boom. BOOM.
The rest of the o-line running, the runningbacks running, skipping, jumping in the air. Fist pumping. Leaping. Shouting, triumphant roars from us, and from the sidelines where the coaches and the rest of the team is ecstatic.
I run up to Billy. Slap him on the shoulder, we jump and there's a crack as our shoulderpads meet. Everyone else is around him, running, laughing, grinning, back slapping and chest bumping. I run back as a PAT guy taps me back, highfive a normally grouchy coach.
...
Now imagine this three times over.
...
27 - 0
...
Zip.
... We are delirious and pride runs through our veins. Football players, you get kicked off the team if you're even in the vincity of alcohol, drugs. We discover why the policy works, why we don't need whatever. We are high.
'WHO'S HOUSE?
OUR HOUSE!
WHAT TIME IS IT?
KNIGHT TIME!
KNIGHTS ON THREE!
ONE
TWO
THREE

KNIGHTS!
...
Officer Bob from DARE. Anyone remember him from Elementary?
...
Was in SWAT.
...
And is our coach.
Today was his birthday.
And after hollering, jumping around, loudness and happyness and jokes in the locker room, he steps in, looking a 'lil serious.
"Shhhh!" "Coach is talking!"
It's amazing how a locker room of forty rowdy, exhilerated guys quiets down into shuffling, ruffling so fast, so completely.
He gives us a satisfied smile, looking us over.
"Guys, I just wanted you to know...
...Today is my birthday.
And you gave me the best birthday present you could've given me. Thanks."
...
He walks out amidst thunderous applause, shouts of 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' and 'w00t!' and just happy yells and growls of approval.
Yes, he makes us run, he lectures us, he 'tells it as it is', he disciplines us hard. Steels us. Lays out our faults. A man of a few, meaningful words.
~ - ~ - ~
But he is Officer Bob Oliver. He is OUR Coach. And today, there is no better.

Just had to share that moment. ^^" Sorry for being so football oriented.
But it makes us feel alive. It gives us purpose, something to look forward to, hard work, clean return. It's a big part of our lives. And is one of the big things that define, build, who we are.

*BOOM*

Accomplishment of the day: Anita walked into a wall.
...as in, crashed into it. Hard. She has a large swelling bump on her head. Isn't that pleasant?
Okay.
On with the soundoff =DD

Name: Anitoi. Didjoo know in Hon. Soph. Comp. [goodness what a long abbreviation x.x] we had to write a poem about ourselves as a brainstorm before we write an autobiographical snippet mimicking MAngo Street? And it asked for a nickname and I put down Anitoi. And everyone was all like ANI TOY? ANI TOY? WHAT A STUPID NICKNAME. Adn I'm all like I'll beatchu up. And then I told them it was TWA. And they were STUPENDIFIED. Gawsh isn't that a nice word?
Grade: Freshie. [Freshies are FRIENDS NOT FOOD]
Location: frolicking with the butterfl...fireflies? too late for butterflies. Moths, but they're slightly ugly.
The Kids: The kids are sore. soresoresore and hopping up and down and looking at teh XC varsity girls' 5k times. And the older one is feeling super-proud because she's NOT CONFUSED IN MATH. ZOMG. Though she ackshually has to do her homework now, because the teacher checks. *tragic sigh*
The younger one can't believe that she's done with her homework, and feels very unnerved and unnatural and needs to do something. She's currently hunting for more work that she hasn't finished, whcih is an UNEXCUSABLY NERDY THING TO BE DOING
*attacks*
Fav. Subject: AP WORLD HISTORY *hophophophop* Mr. Marsh is totally pro, and goodness I can ackshually feel as if I know something here, unlike in LA/SS 9 where all the smart people had an oligarchy. my class didn't know what cuneiform was o.O which was a bit scary, but I felt slightly amazed that I remembered! And plus AP World is INTERESTING And FUN And EASY and awesome. =D
Most Hated Teacher: HATE IS A STRONG WORD >=[ AND EWW WHY WOULD I HATE TEACHERS THAT'S THE SILLIEST THING EVARRRR. Hate is bad. Let's be HAPPY AND EAT THE COTTON CANDY CLOUDS. Which should be purple, now that I think about it, because snow is already white, so the clouds should def. be purple.
What do I think of school?: I MET THIS 'PAUL,' BONNIE. THAT GUY FROM SUMMER STRETCH. I KNOW EZACKLY WHO YOU TEMPORARILY MADE YOUR NEW 'GIRLFRIEND' [well, ackshually, I think he appointed himself that.] AND I AM INCREDIBLY WOUNDED, BECAUSE I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU WOULD LEAVE ME FOR A GUYYYY.
Other than that, high school is big, huge, gigantic, enormous, large, intimidating, crowded, and pretty awesome. 'cept gawshhh soooo manyyy peopleeeeee *eats*
Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?: Oh so my magikal spell worked, then! Is pro, is it not? Provides ammo [e.g. little specks and flecks] to fling at everyone. =DD
[no, these are NOT girly colors. They're the color the sky and clouds should beeeee. Anita has spent so much time thinking about the color of the sky and ocean and stuff like that, it's DANGEROUSSSS.]

OHKAY DOKAY I'D LIKE TO CONGRATULATE VENNY BECAUSE SHE'S DEFINITELY GOING TO BE VARSITY XC NEXT YEAR
SHE IS PRO, MUCHLY. =D
*hops up and down*

Location:

How are the kids:
On the verge of panicking about finishing their homework. They say they need motivation to work. But in order to get that motivation they have to panic. In order to panic they have to wait until the last few moments.
They are currently still waiting.
*kicks*

Favorite subject:
Lunch. It's an hour long.

Most hated teacher:
I've barely even met them. Well, they all assigned homework so I guess I hate them all equally.

What do you think of the school:
It needs air conditioning. And a TV. And an external makeover or paint job. And an upgrade from chalk boards. And more computers. And the elimination of desks.
At least we have couches and a kitchen. I don't trust the food in the kitchen though. Who knows how long it's all been there.

Why does a baseball diamond have fake grass:
How much would it take for you to water and mow the whole thing if it were real grass?
The people who own them are just cheapskates.

Regarding the Sounoff, For Pei (and anyone else who applies)

The "soundoff" that you started is perfectly fine. The only thing is, the soundoff is supposed to be a kind of role call, so we can see that people are still active. If you do do something like this again, (haha...doodoo....) title it something else so we can differentiate.

Anita and I encourage you guys to start stuff like this because it makes people participate more and it's a nice way of not completely forgetting about each other. So thanks, Piepie.

I'll do the first day of school thing later, I just wanted to check this because Anita said you posted something and I wondered what it was.....

Anyways, I'm soooo tired....z_Z

g'night :)

Skool-sow-duh-off

NAY-MUH: Preston. Lee. 'LEE!'
GRR-AYY-DUH: Sophmorrreee...xD 'Apparently', 'cept not really.
LO-CAY-SHUN: Taking a soaking hot shower that eases...well, bruises, cuts, things I don't pay attention to...x] I'd rather not. Ahhh... 'freshing 'down'.
FAY-VOR-IT SUB-JEK-TUH: Lunch! Eating and winding down...who could possibly fail at that? x] Get to sneak in some hard-found minutes with... um... friends...*coughs*
MOST HAY-TED TEE-CHER: Hm. I think all my teachers are pretty good... I like Mr. Marsh, definitely...x] With the conclusion that all ppl with the last name Marsh [so far] are pretty awesome. I dislike Adams, I guess... LA... "let's go through how to write an essay!" Not everyone is PRISM, yeah, but it's a 'lil frustrating. Like, 'JUST START TORTURING S WITH LIKE A BILLION IN CLASS WRITES ALREADY!'
OH-PIN-YON OF SKOOL: x] I could definitely forge a living. I wanna figure out how to balance football friends into my schedule, but Ben, Anita, Pei, Venny... *shrugs* Meeting new ppl, new friends...x] Football, class, lunch... I can forge a life for me here... ^^
It might seem my life is shallow. But, I'm thinkin', more like clear cut...x] Class. HW. Friends. Football. ...her.
FAKE GRASS?: That's because you're lost. I don't think the baseball diamond has yardage markers, bleachers, gaolposts at the ends... NOW GET OFF OUR TURF...! WE GOT A HOME GAME WEDNESDAY NIGHT. Our house! WHO'S HOUSE? OUR HOUSE!
HOW ARE THE KIDS?: Doin' a'ight! They are surviving, theatrically groaning about school, but you can kinda tell, y'know, they're having fun. Whether it's afterschool, at lunch, getting lost for classes... x] hether it's running up and down hills for miles, smashing into each other, swinging raquets and hitting balls. It's very tempting to make a joke with that. But I won't. Because, y'know, I'm soooo mature...xD

Pssst. If you get iced in the trainer's, you can eat the ice/drink the icewater later...^^ Like a freezing cold bucket of popcorn! ... only it melts, it's frostbiting your hand, and it's tasteless...
Pssst.ssstt. Wednesday, Home game vs. Mercer! Show your support by wearing red...! On all home games! And white! On all away game days! Like us football playerss...xD

Theresa's Start-of-School Soundoff

I think soundoffs are supposed to be started by Bonnie or Anita...
But it's a good idea.

N.A.M.E. Theresa Wang
G.R.A.D.E. Freshlady
L.O.C.A.T.I.O.N. Freezing my butt of in an ice bath. Literally, and ice bath. It's supposed to 'make me a better runner', or some other crap like that.
F.A.V.O.R.I.T.E. S.U.B.J.E.C.T. Physics, for sure! Yes, it's physics. No, I don't like calculating things. But still...it's science! It's just so...fun! (I'm not being sarcastic, in case you were wondering.)
M.O.S.T. H.A.T.E.D. T.E.A.C.H.E.R. I do not hate, dearies. I merely despise and plot murders. And my teachers are all decent.
O.P.I.N.I.O.N. O.F. S.C.H.O.O.L. Freshman are stupid. Upperclassmen are ridiculously nice. MI people are dull. Except for this one girl who got suspended off of Cheer because she showed up to a football game drunk. That was amusing. I heard it from a girl in Physics.
W.H.Y. D.O.E.S. T.H.E. B.A.S.E.B.A.L.L. D.I.A.M.O.N.D. H.A.V.E. F.A.K.E. G.R.A.S.S. Because the don't want hungry cows to come along and eat the baseball diamond. That would be sad.
H.O.W. A.R.E. T.H.E. K.I.D.S. Bored out of her bloody mind! Theresa radiates boredom. Her mother won't let her go to an XC sleepover because of volunteering crap the next day. How droll.

Theresa would like to apologize for the whitish font, but she couldn't resist using her school colors.

umm... startofschoolsoundoff? XD

*edit* *forgot most hated teacher*
most hated teacher: mr jones.

im also slightly depressed about the fact that i dont have very many ppl to go to during lunch. i dont have venny to poke. or larry. or eric to scare. etc. ... and why the heck am i sitting at a table with THEM? those guys. yeh. even if dandi and emily and isabel and grace and kathleen are sitting there. i know. i shouldnt be so mean to them. but i still dunno. =/
natalie visited today. she answered a question in LA/SS. it was kinda... i dunno... i mean, the last time natalie's ever gonna be learning with us? for cereal.
my favorite subject: french. because time flies in that class. =3
my least favorite subject: i would say dance. but im ditching that class. so math. i hate it.
what do you think about the school?
its....
the same old odle that you all know.
cept for the vid prod room.
thats a different story.
Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?
because it has no friends.

Start of School Soundoff

I'm not quite sure what a sound off means, but whatever it is, I'm gonna call this the "Start of School" Soundoff. Yeah... And since I forgot the rules of this blog, tell me if I shouldn't me doing this and delete it (but please only after I know... though I'd much rather you people don't 'cause the colors are so purdy--and it took a while to color, but not that long).

So please type...

Name: Xue-bi (What do people think of "Apple Pie"?)
Grade: A+! =P
Grade: 4th year
Location: Sitting on Lakeside's steps waiting for the final bell to ring
How are the kids?: She feel off the second floor balcony at Newport. T.T But her toy broomstick saved her. Seriously, her toy broomstick.
Favorite subject (and why): Lunch, 'cause that's when I see most of my friends! (Or math 'cause my table mates are awesome).
Most hated teacher (at the moment): Ms. Klug. But only because she's teaching science. Or Ms. Browell. But that's because she's teaching PE. The HORROR.
What do you think of the school: The bathrooms are nice.
Why does the baseball diamond have fake grass?: Because the people who designed it felt the need to litter the locker rooms with bits and piece of turf that sticks to the bottom of my socks.

Sound-off...? (Sep.)

Ahahah, finished reading the previous posts (yes. all of them. every single bleeding one.) and discovered that I'm a little, um, late for this, but I'll do it anyways.
I mean, I simply couldn't wait 'till Nov.
And I just discovered this blog two days ago, so you can't really blame me...I think... .__.

N.A.M.E. I can't, it's too hard to spell ><;;
(Gawd, freshmen are so stupid! A guy spelled my name 'Tehrisa'.)

L.O.C.A.T.I.O.N. Procrastination-land.

W.H.Y. I.S. T.H.E. S.K.Y. B.L.U.E. Why are you asking me? Why should I know? Why do you want to know? Why don't you know? Why do you wonder? Why is the sky blue? How do you know the sky is blue? What if the sky is really green? What if you're just colorblind? How do I know you aren't just trying to give me a headache? Why do you care?

S.U.M.M.E.R.S. G.R.E.A.T.E.S.T. A.C.C.O.M.P.L.I.S.H.M.E.N.T. Gawd that's long. Well, I'll have to think about that. I suppose earning 650 teaching stupid humans Chinese counts, right? Yeah, I'd say that's the only purposeful thing I did all summer.

H.O.W. A.R.E T.H.E. K.I.D.S. Enjoying Mercer Island High! They're quite cheery, and friend-making seems to be coming along quite nicely. Though it's quite obvious she misses her old friends, the summer made it quite easy to deal with. She clearly can't wait for the Twilight and Harry Potter movies to come out, so she can set up another get-together--but that's a long way yet. Recently, Theresa's been obsessed with eating sweets--of all sorts! She baked a massive sheet of brownies just the other day, and has already devoured half of it. By the way, I don't suggest you tell her she's going to be fat. She might decide she's hungry and eat you too.
On the other hand, Theresa actually does a sport now! It's quite interesting, because she's been nothing but a fat couch potato for two and a half years. I might not sound too supportive, but I speak nothing but the truth. Well, mostly. She's been slacking off piano, though, and her piano teacher will probably punish her for that soon... Oh well, not my problem.
Theresa says that school is great, and so are the teachers. She'd like to add that the MIHS people are all very, very nice, and blames all of you for being ridiculously perverted. At least, in comparison. She has found a Mr.Black-esque English teacher, who also happens to be her XC coach. It's a little strange.
Lastly, she'd like to say hi to all her buddies, most of whom she hasn't seen for a very, very long time. Though two months doesn't seem to be a very long time--ow! No disagreeing, I get it. -shiftyeyes-

BSD School?

Apparentlyyyy, they've got some random sort of 'agreement', or whatever they'd like to all it.
Whatever it actually is, it doesn't sound too promising...
But then, I wouldn't know.
(As I haven't exactly been paying attention, yeah?)

So what is going on?
The teachers all run off, leaving students with no midget-breaks or things of that sort. If school does begin on Monday, you guys might not have the dreaded Sat. school.
(Ew, like.)
But what if their little agreement-thingy fails, and youg guys are stuck without school?
(Wow, that would suck butt.)
But yeah, let's just say it works.
What do you guys lose?
All the LID and other days, and perhaps an extension into the summer.
For those of you going to Interlake, a huge chunk (okayokay, two weeks) of non-IB-studying.
I guess that's not too bad, actually, considering the first two weeks aren't really...anying.
So cross your fingers, then, and hope they start school soon.

--
Oh yeah--high school is so much fun!
(No, I'm not doing this to make you guys feel bad >.>)
It's so...free.
(We don't have bells, oddly enough. It's annoying.)
We can go off campus, change around seats, leave in the middle of class, chew gum, wear hats, and all that good stuff.
I know, it sounds a bit lame said like that, but all added together, it's great!
And some teachers let you eat in class.
You can talk on cell phones/text as long as class is not in session, and there's no dress code.
It's pretty nifty.
^ ^

Gossip Girl Madness

The chorus is the best part. And Gossip Girl has the most amazing music selection. I got obsessed with this song because it's the one they play when Nate and Serena make out. Which is super hot by the way.

"You totally can."

OMG ITS SO AMAZING.

And it was Helen who told me the name of that song. So I decided to share it with everyone. Because it's an amazing song!

September Soundoff

Name: Tweezers/Terizzle
Location: Under a rock (hiding from chinese hw)
Why is the sky blue?: because having the sky be any other color would be silly
biggest achievement: ummmm making new azn friends from azn camping =D
how are the kids?: getting cancer from the bad waves emanating from the computer screens
having unevenly buff arms from playing musical instruments
eating frozen yogurt
and generally being rather unhealthy

Remember that soundoff thing for September? Here's my response.

Okay! Here we gooooo!

Name: Michael

Location: Everywhere/home

Why is the sky blue? Because of the refraction of sunlight by the water droplets in the sky.

My greatest achievement(s) this summer: I TOOK THE BIGGEST CRA--B out of the water that I have ever seen. Okay maybe I didn't, but I did learn to skateboard. I know you guys think that I'm really hardcore and extreme so it must be hard to believe that I didn't learn to skateboard until I was 14 (waveboard isn't the same). I did finish my summer homework, but I wouldn't consider that very significant because I finish it every year and I knew that I would finish it. Oh! And I was able to use my incredible skills of persuasion to convince my mom to get me an iPhone! Let's see... I quit my addiction to mari--age. Yeah, that's it, marriage. I was addicted to marriage, even though I've never been married and I have no idea what it feels like.

The kids: They are doing so well. I was surprised at first to find out that they were looking forward to school; but seeing as how they're running out of things to do at home because of the teachers' strike, it's making sense. I guess school isn't that much of a drag when there isn't much else to do. There was this one time when Michael told me about a dream where someone was repeatedly shouting his name just as I woke him up by repeatedly shouting his name, just like in those TV shows where that exact situation happens. I thought that was pretty funny. And one time I happened to wake up early and I overheard Michael talking on the phone with one of his friends on the phone. It could tell that it was the friend who called him because he said "...it's 7:15am..." with the kind of voice that people use when they try to speak just a few seconds after they wake up, sort of like the way people talk when they're stretching.

So I went to Interlake's first football game. We won 41 to 0! That's 6 touchdowns and 5 field goals. Yeah, that was pretty cool. Tons of people went. That brings up a question, how come football is so much bigger and attended by more people than the other sports? Maybe some of you don't think that's true, but that's the way I see it.

The day ends. The author ends his work. Yada yada yada.

Nay-muh: Pres, preston... actually, get called 'Lee' nowadays...xD
Lo-cay-shun: Home. ^^ Newport, SCAC, but now, home! Is wehere the heart is, or something. . . *muses*
The sky is blue! Because... well, just cuz. I'm sure there's a reason, but I like things simple! And being blue becuase blue is a beautiful color, well, hey ^^ I ain't arguing with God
And 'bout that. As a +, the water's color = the sky's color, and we wouldn't wanna be drinking green or brown water, would we? Yellow..xD

The kids... shmucking around...xD Cooped up with no school, hey, tempers run...^^
Hey, the oldest. . . well, he worries me...x] He spends so much time away from home, even when at home. . . lookin' out the window too much, and usually you wanna bother those people! And all that football and conditioning and expectations of being part of the team, being a 'beast' on the field, being 'mature' and 'stronger' and a 'jock'...learning to smash and crash and tear holes through lines of people, and the expectaiton that comes with looking buff and jock-ish... I wonder... is it getting to him?
With no school, no brain dulling hw, friend crazyness, with a metal and rap playlist pounding through his head for so called 'football prep'...
He nealy struck at the other kids and scared them for a 'lil... maybe he even scared himself...xD the shmuck... he's taken to wearing a blue band thing... maybe it means something, but... I'll leave him on his own...xD
Hey, his brothers, they're still crazy lil munchkins...=D
And I think they're the ones that keep all of us together... them, and bad jokes and pickuplines...endless, those... *grins*

Still, think everyone'll be glad when school startsss... =]

Today, everyone went to a youth group, church! And found some love, laughter, and a 'lil bit of hope.

'Fellowship'... F... for DONNY! xD Actually, F, as in family. fellowship. get it? xD
Maybe nottt. I think that's what all the kids are looking for! What drives the football Team, what drives church fellowship, what drives blogging circles and b-day parties! [HAPPY B-DAY EMILY AND ALSO RICK! but actually, rick is forty something, and not related to you guys]

Hmm. Kids call! And I got a 'lil making up to do.
Everyone, remember to sleep...x] Won't kill ya. And thank God for blue skies! Decidedly not green and brown and yellow...xD Wake up in the morning...
"Mm... today looks like shit"
...
"Perfect!"

At the moment it's actually more of a light pearl gray color.

September Soundoff

Name: Tohru Honda! nah. it's Eric!

Location: My desk

Why is the sky blue?

Because it's sad and it needs to be cheered up! =]

What's your greatest accomplishment this summer

Staying happy and cheerful by reading plenty of manga, losing IQ, and staying in the sun for a longgg time. And cleaning out three years worth of loose paper and trash from my closet! (cuz eric kinda got lazy during middle school)

So how are the kids?

Sleepy! and they're getting addicted to manga and losing focus even before school's started! And they're missing all their friends.

yay! first post for me. =]

September Soundoff

Name:
The Master

Location:
Go Tower...(If you actually know what this is, then maybe you've watched too much Kim Possible.)

Why is the sky blue?
Because my favorite color is blue and it wants to please me.

How are the kids?
With all the free time they're getting due to the teacher's strike, they've been assisting me in my EVIL plans for world domination. That's right Miss Swel, you have competition. MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

What's your proudest accomplishment this summer? (or something like that)
Hmm...reading Pride and Prejudice? Finishing my homework? Creating this blog? Starting a new Suzuki book?

All my accomplishments are slight.

~~~
So the Master would like to say a few words.
1. Congratulations to Lizzy for organizing the event! It was so much fun. The day after every single one of my muscles hurt from laughing so much or from overexerting myself by running around the field.
2. I want the strike to end. I have absolutely nothing to do and this state of abeyance is making me so bored. I've already gotten all my school stuff together and I do not want to postpone going back to school any longer!
3. To Katie: BYSO??? I hope to see you there! (What are you playing, btw?)
That's all for now.
To quote a good friend of mine:
why is the sky BLUE?
because the sky gods like to eat blueberries.
however, they also like to eat whipped cream with their blueberries.
[that's very good, u know]
and the color of blueberries mixed with whipped cream makes light blue
...btw, whipped cream da seal.
...
i havent seen him all summer long.
*cries*
*feels guilty*
*dies*
IM SRY WHIPPED CREAM!!
IM SRY!!!!!!!!
*goes emotional over stuffie seal*
greatest accomplishment of the summer:
most definitely improving my badminton skillz. =]]
as for the kids...
theyre extremely angry >=[
they wanna go to school!
theyre going to kindergarten this year.
they're going to learn their numbers, the alphabet, eat glue, and all that fun stuff.
it makes me mad that they cant go.
i want some free time gawsh.
September Soundoff- Dennis
Name: Dennis
Location: at home because the teachers are striking
why is the sky blue? because I said so.
The strike sucks, I was all prepared for high school, but then I heard about the strike and now we wont have school until sometime next week. Now we're gonna have to make up the days during summer and sacrifice our breaks, but I appreciate this time they have given us. These days have been really calm and awesome because the weather's so nice.
September Soundoff
wow ALLITERATION. pro. I know. And that rhymes.
Bonnie has bestowed the honor of starting a soundoff
upon Anita!
...even though it's late, but oh well.
So here we go!
Name?
Location?
...Why is the sky blue?
What's your GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT this summer?
And heyyyy by the way,
HOW ARE THE KIDS??
Name:
This is ahhhNEEEEtuh
'cept that spelling doesn't look very good. I really like Anita better
But Bonnie claims that all names should be written according to pronunciation.
So, ahNEEtuh.
Location:
Well, this doesn't really change a lot, unless I have internet on vaycayshun, which never happens. I am right here. Sitting down on a chair in an uncomfortable position which does not make my sore leg muscles ache more.
Ackshually I'm sitting on my foot which actually does kinda hurt.
*shifts in chair*
mmkay.
Why is the sky blue?
I don't know why the sky is blue. I mean I knowwww the scientific reason but that's so boring. I think that all the other colors were taken up [the sun is yellow, the sunset is red, the grass is green, the clouds are white] and then the sky and the ocean had a big FIGHT! and then they ended up having to share blue.
'cept why isn't the sky purple then?
What's your GREATEST ACCOMPLISHMENT this summer?
My GREATEST accomplishment this summer is
well
finishing my community service hours?
getting buff?
SAMPLING ICE CREAM FROM A LOTTA DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. six, seven?
I am an ice-cream expert. I know there's another word for 'expert of food' but I forrrgetttt.
But I feel very accomplished this summer. because I ackshuallyyyyy DIDN'T SLEEP IN AND GOT UP AND 6
VERY PROUD
VERYVERY PROUD.
How Are the Kids?
Wellllll
THEY ALL WENT ON STRIKE
THEY'RE LIKE
WE WANT HIGHER PAY
STOP MANAGING OUR FUTURES
LET ME EAT MORE ICE CREAM
STOP MAKING ME RUN A BAZILLION MILES EVERY DAY
STOP MAKING ME PRACTICE VIOLIN
and so they're actually marching up and down the streets
holding up signs.
Except some of them, their signs...their signs are upside down and have atrocious misspellings.
Apparently, they cannot spell to save their lives
...
Or maybe they can't read.
Either way I must get them off the streets and back in school. I don't even think strikes for kids exist. What would they need to strike for anyway? o.O
Maybe I'll just raise their ice cream ration 5.1% xP AND HOPE THAT THEY ACCEPT THE CONTRACT HINT HINT HINT.
I just want life to be normal againnnn
=P
Rawrr.
Dear Mister Mitchell Huang,
Greetings and good day, sir. If you please, I would rather like my book back. You know, the one that's maybe half a year overdue now? The blue paperback one you said you would replace because you LOST it? It's called His Dark Materials. Does that ring a bell? Now that the summer's over, I'd please like it back now.
You thought I'd forget now, didn't you? Well I didn't! Now please, either buy me a new one or...actually could you just buy me a new book? I don't know if I want my old one back....
Thank you and best wishes--
sincerely,
Bonnie.
